Mary Lewis of New Windsor passed away at her home on Aug. 12, 2023. She was 74 years old.
Born on Feb. 17, 1949, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Concetta (Materia) and Matteo Pipitone.
Mary was a Religious Education Teacher and volunteer for St. Anastasia Church in Harriman, St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills and Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.
Mary is survived by her son David Lewis and his wife Mary, her two grandchildren Hailey and Claire, her sister Angela Coviello of Sellersville, Pa., her two brothers: Joseph and Matthew Pipitone, both of Florida, and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary also was predeceased by her husband Edward Smith.
Visitation was held Aug. 16 at Smith, Seaman, and Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 17.
Interment followed at Cemetery of the Highlands in Highland Mills.
