Leslie A. Evans Jr. of Highland Mills passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown. He was 73 years old.
The son of Leslie A. and Ivy V. Evans Sr., he was born on Dec. 27, 1947, in the Bronx.
Leslie was a supervisor for New York City Department of Homeless Services in the Bronx.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty J. Evans, at home; his daughter Tracy Evans of Awendaw, S.C.; his brother Lee Evans (Cathy Palmisano) of New York City sister Lyneth Evans Whitley of Highland Mills; grandchildren: Vincent, Patricia and Tatyanna; great grandchildren: Nitrell, Tynnia, Disiya and Mariah; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Laurel Evans Jackson.
Visitation was held Nov. 29 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A final viewing and funeral services took placed on Nov. 30 at Highland Mills United Methodist Church, 654 Route 32, Highland Mills.
Interment will follow at Cemetery of The Highlands in Highland Mills.
