Former Monroe resident Kathleen M. Ryan entered into rest on Sunday, Sept. 7, with her husband by her side.

She was 65 and had battled Multiple System Atrophy.

The daughter of Jean Werner, she was born July 30, 1949, in Brooklyn.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe and she was employed by the Monroe-Woodbury School District Bus Garage before retiring to Niceville, Fla.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Thomas Ryan, of Niceville, Fla.; daughters Jennifer McKay and her husband Richard of Summitville, Cyndi Bergen and her husband Joe of Chandler, Arizona, and Kelly Villano and her husband John of Monroe; and her grandchildren: Ryan, James and Natalie. She is further survived by her brother Thomas Werner of Niceville, Fla.; sisters Margaret Werner of Niceville, Fla., and Maureen Nasr and her husband Mohammed of Woodridge N.J., and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. Burial will commence at on Sept. 29 at Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Niceville, Fla.
