Katherine 'Kitty' Bacchiocchi
Katherine L. “Kitty” Bacchiocchi passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida, surrounded by loved ones. She was 49 years old.
The daughter of James and Evelyn Bacchiocchi, she was born April 19, 1967, in Newburgh.
A 1985 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, Kitty was well-known as a star athlete.
She had her bachelor's degree in education from SUNY Cortland and her Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education from Northwest Missouri State University.
She was formerly a personal trainer at Chelsea Piers and a track and field coach at Manhattan College. She also worked at Publix in Jupiter, Florida.
Survivors include her longtime companion Johnny Kemena and puppy Daisy; her brothers: Bert Mann and his wife JoAnn, Jimmy Bacchiocchi and his wife Caren, and D.J. Bacchiocchi and his wife Sharon; her sisters: Toni Reinhart and her husband Butch, Ida Campfield, Tina Baisley and her husband Fred; her sister-in-law Donna Barrett and her husband John; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Kerrina, Rhonda, Bert, Jimmie, Tammy, Danielle, Butch, Susan, Camryn, Christopher, Kristin, Mike, Will, Emma, Jill, Kevin, Hayden, Michele, Jason, Aria, Melody, Dominick, Linda, Isabella, Sarah, Daniel, Noah, Michael, Shaun, Melissa, Catherine, Jessica and Luke.
Kitty was predeceased by her loving parents, Jimmy and Eve Bacchiocchi, and her dog Duke.
Memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Memorial service at 8:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
