Karen Weinstein
Karen Weinstein, a 31 year resident of Monroe, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 56 years old.
The daughter of Bruno and Betty Masini, she was born in Brooklyn in 1958.
Karen was a partner with her husband, Paul, of The Artistic Group located in Monroe and New York City.
Karen was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
With her loving heart, generosity of spirit, her unswerving integrity and ready smile, she was the heart and center of our family, a woman who influenced the many people who were privileged to know her.
For many years Karen taught religious education at Sacred Heart Parish and delivered Meals on Wheels to seniors in the community.
She attended Hunter College in Manhattan where she met her husband, Paul, with whom she shared a rich life and thriving business and raised a daughter who carries the spirit of them both.
Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Paul Weinstein; their daughter Mallory Elizabeth and her husband Matthew Kusterer of Westminster, Maryland; her grandson Ryan Paul Kusterer; her parents Bruno and Betty Masini of Manchester, N.J., as well as her siblings Donna Masini of New York City, Gregg Masini and spouse Michal Masini of Van Nuys, California, and David Masini and spouse Isaac Rodriguez of Riverdale. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews James Matthews, David and Ethan Masini, Ethan Weinstein, Romina Aguila and Amelia Weinstein and by her father-in-law, Martin Weinstein and his spouse, Bette Weinstein.
She is predeceased by her beloved mother-in-law Edie Weinstein.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Columba R.C. Church in Chester.
Interment followed at St. Anthony Shrine Cemetery in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
