Joseph A. Falasca of Highland Mills passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He was 88 years old.
The son of Joseph Falasca and Jennie Trongone Falasca, he was born on May 22, 1932, in the Bronx.
He was a retired Ironworker for Ornamental Ironworkers Union Local #580 in New York City, where he was a welding instructor for many years.
He was also a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie LaCava Falasca ,at home; daughter Diane DeVito and her husband Peter of Highland Mills; sister Tammy Falasca of California; and three grandchildren: Joseph, Marisa and Petey. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Falasca and sisters Geraldine Cea and Carmen Gubernick.
Visitation was held May 18 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, 448 Route 32 in Highland Mills.
Interment will follow in Cemetery of the Highlands in Highland Mills.
