Hilda C. Gomez passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at her residence in Monroe. She was 90 years old.
The daughter of Julio Cesar and Altagracia Emilia Franjul, she was born on Sept. 23, 1930, in Bani, Dominican Republic.
Hilda was a Bilingual Translator for Pfizer in Pearl River.
She was a member of ASCAP and a supporter of Childcare International and Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include her children: Jose Gomez and his partner Randy Cornell of Elmira; H. Fernanda Miller of Lake Worth, Fla.; and Carmen Nardone and her husband Drew of Monroe; her seven siblings; her grandchildren: Cody, Trevor, Rocky, Jesse and Jack; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Fernando Arturo Gomez and by her son-in-law Jeffery Miller.
Visitation was held Feb. 10 at Smith, Seaman and Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 11 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
