Frank E. McCann passed away on Aug. 25, 2023, at his residence in Saugerties, N.Y., in his beloved stone house, formerly the site of Camp Wakonda. He was 78 years old.
The son of Edward S. and Dorothy C. (Casassa) McCann, he was born on Nov. 24, 1944, in New York City.
Frank began his 40+ years in the construction industry working at E.S. McCann and Son, with his older brother Donald McCann. He subsequently joined Structure Tone, where his exceptional skills and expertise in the field, as well as his managerial skills, are evident through his impressive 32-year tenure at Structure Tone in New York. Some of his favorite projects included MetLife, CIT, Bloomberg, WPIX, Seven World Trade Center and Sony Music.
His PMA approach (Positive Mental Attitude) to life and work left an impression on all that knew him and worked with him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: Edward McCann and his wife AnnMarie, of East Northport; Jeff McCann and his wife Kelsey, of Emerson, N.J;. Jennifer Malkin and her husband Charles, of Washingtonville; Tara Lamadore and her husband John of Staatsburg; and Brianna McCann of Los Angeles, California; his sister Cathy Powers of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and his beloved grandchildren: Scarlett, Alanna, Julia, Megan, Calvin and Shea.
In addition to his parents, Frank was also predeceased by his siblings Donald McCann, Irene Daly and Mary Jane Reichey.
Visitation was held Aug. 30 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 31 at St. Anastasia Church, 110 Route 17M, Harriman.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
