Dolores Pelosi of Cornwall passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Sapphire Nursing and Rehabilitation in Goshen. She was 91 years old.
The daughter of Mary (LaGrega) and Emil Rusciano, she was born in Flushing, N.Y., on May 1, 1932.
Dolores worked as a school aid for New York City Public Schools in Middle Village until she retired and spent many years traveling and spending time with her beloved family who she loved unconditionally.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Anthony Pelosi and his wife Cathy of Lewes, Del.; Steven Pelosi and his wife Mary of Cape Coral, Fla.; Gina Pelosi and her partner Jeff Watson of Cornwall-on-Hudson; her sister Viola Viglietta of Coram; and three grandchildren: Lia Brown and her husband Chris, Katrina Pelosi and her partner Paul, and Nicholas Pelosi, as well as her many nieces and nephews to whom she was affectionately known as “Aunt Dee.”
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Anthony J. Pelosi and her sister Lucille Pelosi.
Visitation and a chapel service were held Aug. 10 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
Interment followed at Cemetery of the Highlands in Highland Mills.
