Dorothy R. Brand

Dorothy R. Brand, of Monroe, NY, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in Campbell Hall, NY. She was 94 years old. Daughter of the late William and Lena Fahner Westhall, she was born on August 8, 1927, in Ridgewood, NY.

Dorothy devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her devoted husband Harry R. Brand.

She is survived by her children: Leanne B. Jaray and her husband, George, of Chester, NY; George W. Brand and his wife, Janet, of Plano, TX; grandchildren: Michael, Jason, Kelly and her husband Bryan, Danielle and her husband Colin, George and his girlfriend Sam, and Jennifer and her husband Jeremy; her great grandchildren: Jeffery Connor, Gabriella, Lilith, Gavin, and Stellan; her nieces and nephews: Kevin, Cathe, Gail, Roy, and Linda, as well as her cousin Marilyn Petty. Dorothy was also predeceased by her parents, her brother William C. Westhall and sister Ruth M. Goettler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a chapel service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY 10950. Interment will follow at Seamanville Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Dorothy during her time there.
