Join a New York State Parks guide for a mild 4-mile hike around Sterling Lake at 10 a.m. on Jan. 1. Along the way hikers can see historic remaining structures of the iron industry, some predating the revolutionary war. The event is weather permitting – park staff will call registered participants in case of cancellation. The trail is not maintained, so wear appropriate foot wear and attire. Bring water and a snack.
