Onion festival returns to Pine Island on Sept. 1

The annual Onion Festival returns to the Pavilion in Pine Island on Sunday, Sept. 1.
Grammy-award winner Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra will headline the day with special guests the Pokolenie Dancers. It's always a great day with lots of fun and excitement.
Dancing starts at 2 p.m. but get there early and enjoy the wonderful food, including Polish cuisine, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary.
Also take in the famed 'Onion Eating Contest sponsored by the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce.
You'll also have the opportunity to purchase fresh onions raised in the Onion Capital of the World.
Advance tickets are $18; $20 at the door.
There's plenty of free parking and it's held rain or shine under the beautiful pavilion located right in the heart of Pine Island.
