The Hudson Sports Complex, the multi-sports facility located in Wickham Woods. will host an outdoor concert on Sunday, May 23, featuring musicians from the New York Philharmonic playing Beethoven’s Septet, a rich combination of strings and wind instruments and one of the mainstays of the chamber music repertoire.
“This is a very exciting step for us and we are happy to be able to bring world-class musicians to the community,” said Raluca Gold-Fuchs, the HSC’s director. “And we hope that this is just the first of many outdoor concerts that we will be presenting.”
The concert will be on the sports complex’s main outdoor field (indoors under the dome in case of rain) on Sunday, May 23, starting at 5:30 p.m., with people sitting on blankets on the turf field.
Seating will begin at 5 p.m. and current COVID restrictions as to capacity and social distancing will be in effect.
Admission is $25, with children under 12 admitted free. Attendees should note that while there will be some limited bleacher seating, blankets are encouraged because chairs with legs cannot be permitted on the turf field.
Those interested in purchasing tickets should go the the HSC website hudsonsportscomplex.com for further information, including the HSC address.
