The truth behind the ‘Yule Log’
MONROE — NTL Studios, a Monroe-based film company, has released its latest film, “Yule Log: The Making of a Christmas Legend.”
In its press release announcing the movie’s release, the story described the film this way: “This mockumentary short is a hilarious, off-centered, behind the scenes look at the making of one of New York City s most endearing Christmas films, a seven-minute looped fire that burns on your TV. The WPIX Yule log, first aired in 1966, has become a Christmas eve tradition in New York.”
The press release continues:
“Starring Jason Howard and Sheila Joon, the film follows the ranting of insane auteur film director LaCroix de Jacque as he tries to create the ultimate Yule Log fireplace movie. Obstacles abound at every turn: a crew that can’t make fire, a lunatic props master and a young female revolutionary, just to name a few.”
This film contains strong language.
“Yule Log: The Making of a Christmas Legend,” can be purchased for $14.47 directly from www.yulelogthefilm.com or from Amazon.com.
Peter Galipeau, NTL s president and CEO, and one of the actors in the film, has been a resident of Monroe for nine years.
