Monroe. Adult programming returns to Monroe Free Library

| 08 Sep 2021 | 12:20

Monroe Free Library announces adult community programming for September and October.

The programs are open to all Monroe Free Library cardholders and seats can be reserved through online registration or phone registration. The events were drawn up and developed by MFL’s new Head of Reference and Adult Programming, Susan Johnson.

“We’re experimenting with new topics and new presenters,” Johnson said, “while keeping the things that work.”

Prior to accepting the new position, Johnson had been with the library for 20 years, providing reference services and hosting programs, including the long running “Book Discussions with Sue.”

“We’re trying to appeal to new and modern interests with these programs,” Johnson said, “and hopefully pull people into the library who may have never used us before and don’t know what we offer.”
