Local students making the dean's list at their colleges
The following students have been recognized for their academic success during the fall 2004 semester by their colleges: Allison Geyer of Monroe has been named to the Presidential Honor Society at the New York State University at Albany. The daughter of Robert and Jane Geyer, the 2002 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School is studying business marketing and management. Katherine Byrne has been named to the Dean's List at SUNY New Paltz. She is pursuing her master's degree in Special Education with a 4.0 GPA. A 2000 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, she graduated from Plattsburgh State University in May with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. She will be graduating from New Paltz in May 2005. Kristen M. Budich of Monroe has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2004 semester at Hartwick College in Oneonta. The daughter of Arthur and Theresa Budich, she is a junior majoring in English. She also has participated in Music Educators National Conference, National Anthem Singers and Sigma Alpha Iota. Timothy Haller of Monroe has been named to the dean's honors list for the fall 2004 semester at the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering at the State University of New York at Binghamton. The 2001 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury is the son of Laura and Joseph Haller. Alanna McVey, a freshman majoring in English and journalism, has been named to the 2004 Fall Dean's List at Le Moyne College in Syracuse with a GPA of 3.7. She was also a member of the Division II Girl's Cross Country Team at Le Moyne. She is the daughter of Maggie and Bill McVey and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. The following students have been named to the dean's list at Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh: Steven Nagle of Arden Veronica Grell of Central Valley Kieran Begley of Chester Michelle Kula of Chester Rebecca Quackenbush of Chester Amy Sipper of Chester Jaime Walter of Chester Karen Alstrup of Monroe Nicole Chiappetta of Monroe Karin Keff of Monroe Danielle Parise of Monroe Anthony Schifano of Monroe. The College of Saint Rose in Albany awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates of advanced study to 684 students who completed their requirements in fall 2004. Among those students were: Matthew Sauer of Bellvale, Master of Science in Education Raul Acevedo of Highland Mills, Certificate of Advanced Study Kevin Moran of Warwick, Certificate of Advanced Study.
