The jazz ensemble “GOM” will appear at the fifth free concert in the Village of Monroe’s summer concert series on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Lake Street by the Millponds. GOM stands for “Grumpy Old Men,” but organizers say the ensemble is “neither grumpy nor old.” From the left are Drummer Bobby Deitch, Eddie Beishai, who plays keyboard, and guitarist Russ DeFilippis. Bass player Barry Wiesenfeld is also a member of the group. Kids can play in bounce houses for a $5 evening pass while parents enjoy the concert. Rain date is the next day.
