Ghost investigator Linda Zimmerman to present 'Haunted Objects'

So, you snag a great deal on an antique grandfather clock that's not only beautiful, it actually works. You no sooner get it set up in that special spot in the corner when it seems to take on a mind of its own.

The hands suddenly spin backward. The chimes have no relation to the time of day. Its glass front flies open with no warning.

Hmm.

We’ve all heard of haunted buildings, but haunted things? Can material objects hold onto spirits -- or vice versa? Linda Zimmerman, ghost investigator and author of several books on paranormal phenomena, says they just might.

Zimmerman, whose presentation of “Haunted Hudson Valley” at the Goshen Public Library two years ago drew a standing-room-only crowd, will make a much-anticipated return visit on Oct. 12. Get into the Halloween spirit with some spine-tingling tales at her “Haunted Objects” program from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday Oct. 12, in the Community Room of the Goshen Public Library, 366 Main St., Goshen.

Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free, but donations will be appreciated.
