Come celebrate 20 years at The Castle

CHESTER — The Castle Fun Center is celebrating its 20-year anniversary on June 1 with a full-day celebration planned on their latest addition, the Event Grounds.

Some may remember the opening of the nine-hole mini golf course and batting cages in 1993. The Castle hasn't stopped growing over the years, adding go karts, a roller skating rink, laser tag, an arcade, rock climbing, interactive ball play area, Jesters Restaurant and Pub and now the Event Center. This year they will be adding a new slick go kart track, and expanding the road course track to include a loop.

The celebration will run from 1 to 10 p.m. and includes half price Castle activities all day. The event grounds party will include a barbeque, face painting, bounce house, line dancing, horse shoe tournaments, bocce, volley ball, demonstrations and live music featuring Nuts in a Blender from 5 to 7 p.m. and Jason Casterlin and The Tall Boys from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission to the event grounds is $5; the all-day barbeque is $15. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. The celebration will be held rain or shine.

"My family and team here at The Castle are excited about the celebration and are very proud that we have been expanding for the past 20 years and right through the slow economy," said Brian Leentjes. "Our most recent addition has been the Event Center .The celebration will be throughout the facility but the main party will be on the event grounds. We’d love you to come and join the celebration!"
