    Sister Isabelle McCann CSAC, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate, Pallotines, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center in Goshen.
    The daughter of Lester and Mary T. Hynes McCann, she was born April 16, 1927, in Queens.
    Sister was predeceased by four brothers: Joseph, David, Lester and Anthony; and two sisters: Margaret Byrnes and Anna McCann.
    She is survived by 20 loving nieces and nephews.
    Sister Isabelle McCann entered the Pallotine Sisters on Feb. 2, 1953, and made her First Profession on Sept. 1, 1955.
    Sister celebrated her Silver Jubilee in 1978 and her Golden Jubilee in 2003.
    Last year Sister celebrated 65 years in the Pallotine Congregation of Sisters, who thank God for Sister having been a part of their lives all these years.
    She earned a BS in Secondary Education and MA in American History, from Fordham University in 1965. She taught in New York at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in the Bronx, Harriman College in Monroe and Holy Rosary Academy in Union City, N.J.
    Sister also was principal at Our Lady of Grace in Brooklyn. She also served as Director of Admissions at Harriman College from 1965 to 1970 and as the Congregation’s Treasurer from 1991 to 2005 and as a delegate to both General and Provincial Chapters.
    Sister retired in 2005 and resided at Queen of Apostles Convent in Monroe until 2016 when she entered Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center.
    Visitation was held Jan. 30 at Queen of Apostles Chapel, 98 Harriman Heights Road, Monroe.
    A Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 31.
    Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Monroe.
