What appears to be a female Eastern coyote has been seen recently walking through the backyards of homes in the vicinity of the Monroe Country Club off Still Road. Resident Rich Rizzi provided this photo of the animal. The Eastern coyote, which has been gradually making its way south from Canada for the past couple of decades, is now being seen elsewhere in Monroe and other parts of southern Orange County.
