Christine M. Pavano

Christine M. Pavano of Highland Mills passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 82 and had been a resident of Highland Mills for 17 years.

Daughter of Frank and Carmelina Bonbicino Strano, she was born Nov. 10, 1929, in the Bronx.

Christine was a retired secretary at P.S. 114 for the Board of Education in the Bronx.

She was the widow of Salvatore Pavano.

She was a member of St. Patrick�s Church of Highland Mills as well as a member of the Woodbury Golden Agers.

Survivors include her daughter Joanne DelMoro and her husband Richard M. DelMoro of Rock Tavern, her son John Pavano of Anaheim Hills, California, her sister Lydia Rojas of Goshen, and four grandchildren: Dina, Christa Anne, Alexandra and Andrew.

Christine was predeceased by her daughter Linda Pavano and her brother Guido Strano.

A funeral Mass was held July 11 at St. Patrick�s Church. Entombment followed in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
