MONROE — The Village of Monroe will be celebrating it's 125th anniversary in 2019.
In an effort to raise funds to support this year long celebration, the village is selling a holiday anniversary ornament for $10 in the following locations:
• Village Hall, 7 Stage Road;
• Monroe Jewelers, 32 Lakes St.;
• The Gift Box, 681 State Route 17M;
• Monroe Free Library; and
• The Shortline Bus Depot.
Village Trustee Dorey Houle said the updated village logo was designed by Mary Collura of Thoughtful Design.
Then the ornament was made through a Pennsylvania company, Keystone Specialties.
Purchases can be made with cash or check at most locations. Village Hall can accept credit card purchases with a nominal credit card processing fee.
